Liability Statement

Liability Disclaimer & Vehicle Condition Agreement

1. Customer Acknowledgement of Vehicle Condition By booking a service with The Local Valeter you (the Customer) confirm that your vehicle is in a condition suitable to withstand a professional valet, including the use of high-pressure water sprays and chemical cleaning products. You acknowledge that if your vehicle has pre-existing damage, loose paint, rust, or loose trim, the cleaning process may exacerbate these issues.

2. High-Pressure Washing & Damage Waiver Our valeting process involves the use of high-pressure washers to remove dirt and grime. While we take every precaution to clean your vehicle safely, The Local Valeter will not be held liable for any damage to the vehicle that occurs as a result of the high-pressure cleaning process if the vehicle was not in a sound condition to withstand it.

Specific exclusions include, but are not limited to:

  • Paintwork: Flaking, peeling, or removal of paint on areas with pre-existing rust, stone chips, scratches, or poor-quality SMART repairs/resprays.

  • Trim & Bodywork: Loose mouldings, number plates, badges, mirrors, or trim that becomes detached during the wash due to weak adhesives or broken clips.

  • Aftermarket Parts: Damage to non-original manufacturer parts (e.g., spoilers, vinyl wraps, or decals) that are not securely fitted.

3. Pre-Existing Damage We reserve the right to refuse to valet a vehicle if we believe the condition is too poor to clean safely. If we proceed with the valet at your request, it is with the strict understanding that The Local Valeter is not responsible for any deterioration of the vehicle’s condition resulting from the wash.
